8th Islamic Consultative Assembly
Article (1): Name:
“Cooperative Sector Fraction of the Islamic Consultative Assembly” hereinafter briefly referred to as “Cooperative Fraction”.
Article (2): Goals of Fraction:
a- Making effort to enforce Articles 43 and 44 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to achieve the objectives predicted in the Five-Year Development Plans, and to realize the goals stipulated in the law on implementation of General Policies of the Constitution Article 44.
b- Fulfillment of objectives predicted in Cooperative Sector Law of Islamic Republic of Iran’s Economy.
c- Making effort to stabilize, deepen and develop cooperative sector of national economy.
d- Overall development of cooperative sector in order to achieve social justice and wealth equitable distribution.
e- Creation of a unanimous and cooperative atmosphere through encouraging team work culture.
Article (3): Fraction Duties:
a- Follow-up of legal plans and bills on cooperative sector development up to final stage of approval by concerned parliamentary commissions and Islamic Consultative Assembly.
b- Lobbying to coordinate support and assistance by other MPs for approving plans and bills on cooperative sector in line with encouraging small capitals.
c- Paving the ground for collaboration and coordination of Parliament Social and Economic Commission with other parliamentary commissions to facilitate approval of cooperative sector plans and bills.
d- Participation of Cooperative Fraction’s members in the meeting, forums, seminars, national and international exhibitions of cooperative movement and supporting their approvals and decision makings.
Article (4): Cooperative Fraction Constituents:
1- General Assembly,
2- Administrative Board.
4-1 General Assembly: consisting all MPs who are member of Cooperative Fraction, shall be held ordinarily and/or extraordinarily.
Note 1- General Assembly is the highest body of cooperative fraction and shall be held at least twice a year upon invitation of Administrative Board.
Note 2- Extraordinary general assembly shall be held for key issues if required, upon suggestion of Administrative Board.
Note 3- General assembly meeting shall have quorum if attended by one forth of members and its approvals shall be enforceable by absolute majority vote of participants.
4-2 Administrative Board: consisting of 11 main members and 2 alternate members being elected by general assembly for a period of four years (chairman, two vice-chairman, reporter, two secretary and five members are elected by members of administrative board)
Note 1- Administrative board consists of individuals interested in organizational work and cooperative sector who can afford enough time to take part in the meetings and follow-up of approvals.
Note 2- Meetings of administrative board shall be held every three months, have quorum with the presence of two thirds of members and its approvals shall be enforceable by absolute majority vote of participants.
Note 3- Agenda of general assembly shall be determined by administrative board.
Article (5): Members of Cooperative Fraction shall undertake to positively regard the approvals of general assembly and not to oppose them.
Note 1- Those who fill in membership form and submit it to general assembly and administrative board of Cooperative Fraction shall be considered as official member.
This Articles of Association was approved by General Assembly of Cooperative Fraction of Islamic Consultative Assembly in five Articles and seven Notes in June 30, 2008.
